Sign, Sign Everywhere a Sign!

The sign above is posted on the Road just outside Nairobi, Kenya.

But that is not all....Get ready... you might not really believe this one!

The First Lady experiences a slip of the tongue: She said What! Obama's home country is where?

I'm sure they will come up with some story line about how she didn't really mean what she just said... but just in case... share this as quickly as you can before it gets pulled off YouTube.

Government Motors - Learn the Obama Spin Technique

The Competitive Enterprise Institute today filed a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission, arguing that General Motors misleadingly claimed in a national TV ad that the company has paid back taxpayer bailout loans.
In the complaint, CEI urges the FTC to investigate the GM ad campaign entitled “GM Repaid Government Loan Ahead of Schedule.” The ad features GM’s Chairman and CEO, Ed Whitacre, who declares that “we have repaid our government loan in full, with interest, five years ahead of the original schedule.”
That claim, CEI explains in the complaint, “gives the false impression that GM has used its own funds to pay back all the bailout money that it received from the federal government. In fact, GM has only repaid a fraction of those funds—barely ten percent. Moreover, GM apparently repaid its loan by using other federal funds.”
To add insult to injury, GM’s misleading ad could unfairly dupe consumers into a false, renewed confidence in the company, the complaint explains. “Consumer purchasing decisions can easily be affected by such considerations, as the FTC has long recognized in prohibiting false claims that products are ‘Made in the U.S.A.’”
Sam Kazman, CEI General Counsel, points out the real-world absurdity of GM’s claim. “If I applied for a car loan using GM’s financially misleading approach, I’d be tossed out of the dealership on my ear.”
“GM might argue that its ad is literally accurate, but the fact is it’s completely misleading,” said Hans Bader, CEI counsel.
CEI urges the FTC to promptly investigate, to “serve the American public on this issue of major consumer and taxpayer importance [and] “discourage other beneficiaries of government bailouts from falsely misrepresenting their status.”

Pulling back the Curtain - Alinsky and Obama

What is really behind President Obama's claims that America is not a Christian nation? What about his recent mistreatment of Israel and his warm enbrace of all that seems to be Muslim?

President Obama's Mentor Saul Alinsky, in his own book, actually aligns himself and his teachings with Satan. That's right the Devil himself. Did America know what they were getting into when they opened the door of the White House to this man? A quick flip ten pages into this book,
http://www.amazon.com/Rules-Radicals-Saul-Alinsky/dp/0679721134#reader_0679721134
Saul Alinsky's book “Rules for Radicals” reveals the following dedication to Lucifer

“Lest we forget at least an over-the-shoulder acknowledgment to the very first radical: from all our legends, mythology, and history (and who is to know where mythology leaves off and history begins — or which is which), the first radical known to man who rebelled against the establishment and did it so effectively that he at least won his own kingdom — Lucifer

Also, just in case the use of Alinsky's ideas, strategies and materials by the liberal left has escaped any ones attention, please consider the following important links:

Fighting With One Arm Tied Behind Barack

President Obama said Monday that he was revamping American nuclear strategy to substantially narrow the conditions under which the United States would use nuclear weapons, even in self defense. This is a radical departure from the policies of every president since the creation of nuclear weapons.

Mr. Obama’s strategy is a sharp shift from those adopted by his predecessors and seeks to revamp the nation’s nuclear posture for a new age in which rogue states and terrorist organizations are greater threats than traditional powers like Russia and China.

Perhaps this action is just another apology to the world for our nations policies

For the first time, the United States is explicitly committing not to use nuclear weapons against non-nuclear states that are in compliance with the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty, even if they attacked the United States with biological or chemical weapons, or launched a crippling cyberattack.

Happy Atheist Holiday - April 1st, 2010

In Florida, an atheist became incensed over the preparation for Easter and Passover holidays and decided to contact his lawyer about the discrimination inflicted on atheists by the constant celebrations afforded to Christians and Jews with all their holidays while the atheists had no holiday to celebrate.
The case was brought before a wise judge who after listening to the long, passionate presentation of his lawyer, promptly banged his gavel and declared, "Case dismissed!"
The lawyer immediately stood and objected to the ruling and said, "Your honor, how can you possibly dismiss this case? Surely the Christians have Christmas, Easter and many other observances. And the Jews -- why in addition to Passover they have Yom Kippur and Hanukkah... and yet my client and all other atheists have no such holiday!"
The judge leaned forward in his chair and simply said "Obviously your client is too confused to know about or to celebrate the atheists' holiday!"
The lawyer pompously said "We are aware of no such holiday for atheists, just when might that be, your honor?"
The judge said "Well it comes every year on exactly the same date-- April 1st!"
"The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.'"Psalm 14:1, Psalm 53:1

When Minister Joe Wright was asked to open the new session of the Kansas Senate, everyone was expecting the usualgeneralities, but this is what they heard:
Heavenly Father, we come before you today to ask your forgiveness and to seek your direction and guidance.
We know Your Word says, 'Woe to those who call evil good,' but that is exactly what we have done.
We have lost our spiritual equilibrium and reversed our values.
We have exploited the poor and called it the lottery.
We have rewarded laziness and called it welfare.. We have killed our unborn and called it choice.
We have shot abortionists and called it justifiable.
We have neglected to discipline our children and called it building self esteem....
We have abused power and called it politics.
We have coveted our neighbor's possessions and called it ambition.
We have polluted the air with profanity and pornography and called it freedom of expression.
We have ridiculed the time-honored values of our forefathers and called it enlightenment.
Search us, Oh, God, and know our hearts today; cleanse us from every sin and set us free. Amen!

The response was immediate. A number of legislators walked out during the prayer in protest. In 6 short weeks, Central Christian Church, where Wright is pastor, logged more than 5,000 phone calls with only 47 of those calls responding negatively. The church is now receiving international requests for copies of this prayer from India , Africa and Korea . Commentator Paul Harvey aired this prayer on his radio program, 'The Rest of the Story,'and received a larger response to this program than any other he has ever aired. With the Lord's help, may this prayer sweep over our nation and wholeheartedly become our desire so that we again can be called 'one nation under God.'

Forgive them....for they know not what they do!

Now that Congress has acted and boldly and arrogantly decided that the "will of the people" has little to do with how they will be governed, each of us must decide how to respond. Numerous lawsuits from both States and individuals are being prepared to challenge the Federal government in this bills bold attempt to mandate citizens to purchase healthcare coverage. Where does this constitutional authority come from we ask? Perhaps from thin air, but none the less, sometime this morning our president will be signing this Healthcare bill into law.

Once that happens we will slowly begin to see what this really means for America. The curtain will be pulled back, the layers of the over two thousand page legislation will be peeled away like an onion and this beast will be exposed to the light of day for all to see. Will it be the Healthcare panacea that the Democrats promised, as they chanted "Yes We Can" during its passage? My concern is that it is, and will be revealed to be instead the "holy grail" of the Democratic party. The passage of this legislation, giving ownership of such a large portion (1/5) of our economy to the Federal Government, might forever revise our basic understanding of the true role of that body.

Regardless of what happens as this is all sorted out, we Believers are called by Scripture to subject ourselves to the leaders that God has placed above us and to render to Caesar what is Caesars'. We are also called to love our enemies. Matthew 5:43-44 says, “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy.' But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you.” Let us not forget that this was powerfully demonstrated for us by Christ himself as he hung there on the cross. As we approach this Easter Sunday we can see how His powerful words continue to resonate through the centuries. I hope they minister to you as they always do to me.

“Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” Luke 23:34

These words, spoken at a time of great sorrow should give even the filthiest of sinners hope. Do not believe the lie Satan is telling you, that God would never forgive you, remember Jesus’ prayer from the cross, because it reveals the true heart of Christ. Remember we are invited to... come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:16).

Have a blessed Easter!

Show Me the Money!

As America struggles with a 10 percent unemployment rate, stubbornly refusing to go down even as other economic numbers seem to rise, the public will no longer believe in speeches -- only in results. As Cuba Gooding Jr. says to Tom Cruise in "Jerry Maguire," Americans are saying, "show me the money."
It was truly agonizing, watching Obama’s first State of the Union Address, for more than an hour as Obama extolled the need for jobs but only offered government as the solution. A job "created" by the government will only last as long as tax payers are paying for that job. Is that a real job? What about promoting an economic climate so that businesses can hire more people?
Obama railed against the spending, yet it was his socialist plan that exploded the budget and put more power in the hands of Washington bureaucrats. His proposal to "cut spending" after his massive spending is just silly. He talked about not wanting to burden a few generations of Americans with debt, but his policies have led to several generations being burdened.
One of the most stunning moments of the entire speech was when Obama addressed the members of the Supreme Court directly. I have never seen this before. He blasted their recent ruling on election spending by advocacy groups. Not only was this an extreme breach of protocol in my opinion, it was also wrong. Supreme Court Justice Sam Alito couldn't sit stone-faced while Obama went on and muttered the words "not true" to Obama's attack. You can see this below:

The very notion of a "jobs package" that underpins Obama's newly announced program is oxymoronic. The president still seems not to have grasped the essential point that borrowing money to spend it to create jobs in fact costs our nation jobs. Or that increasing the deficit decreases the opportunities for businesses and consumers to borrow and cuts the number of jobs.
Ultimately, the fate of the Obama presidency depends on whether he is right or his conservative critics are. If he's correct, more spending will bring down unemployment and put people to work. If he's wrong, the deficit that results from his spending will keep joblessness high.A lot of last night's speech was, in effect, an apology for his own policies. His lamentation of partisanship and division; his appeals for unity -- it all seemed almost to disregard his own record of polarization.
His allusion to the deficit "in which we find ourselves" was disingenuousness -- at best. He has to hope that nobody was reading the newspaper as he proposed a stimulus package costing nearly $800 billion. When he seemed at a loss, he lapsed into easy, populist applause lines -- almost a parody of partisanship. His campaign speech, dressed up as a State of the Union, seemed irrelevant to the economic experience of our past year.
Even his forays into patriotism ("I do not accept second place for the United States of America") sounded like a return to his rhetoric of the campaign -- irrelevant to our current situation. His threat to "send back" to Congress any regulatory reform which does not meet his specifications was reminiscent of Clinton's threat -- as he brandished a pen -- to veto any health-care reform that didn't seem sufficient. The fact is that Congress isn't about to vote to give him the power to seize any corporation that he deems is "too big to fail" and "potentially insolvent." His threat to veto is irrelevant.
But even as Obama stumbled in embracing spending as the cure for joblessness, he failed even more in his comments about the War on Terror. Accumulating evidence is leading independents to demand that terror trials be handled by the military, not the civilian, justice system -- and without Miranda warnings.Getting intelligence about the next attack has a priority over criminal prosecution in the minds of all Americans . . . except perhaps those of the attorney general and the president.

I prefer an earlier “State of the Union Speech”, one that was given by Senator Scott Brown of Massachusetts as his acceptance Speech.
