If you build it …THEY will come!

This Tuesday’s wins in Virginia and New Jersey may constitute a referendum against Obama’s mad dash into socialism, at least that is what I hear on from most conservatives. But this off-year election sure was also a messy one for the Republican Party. The once “Grand Old Party” appears to be at a loss for its direction.

When Doug Hoffman challenged the local Republican Party choice for New York’s 23rd district seat, with the full backing of the Sarah Palin PAC, the Republican Party was thrown into complete disarray. Supposed Leaders like both Michael Steele and Newt Gingrich ended up with egg on their faces for endorsing possibly the most liberal candidate in the race.

Untold campaign finances went down the drain promoting Scozzafava, a true wolf in sheep’s clothing. This she herself proved out when she withdrew from the election (for the good of the party) and then backed the democrat in the race. Had Hoffman been the Republican nominee, he would have had the resources and organizational infrastructure of the party. Owens, the democrat now seated, had the unions and ACORN backing him up. The Republican machine came in too late, and Doug Hoffman was done.

Lately it seems that when I approach my mailbox at home or open my e-mail on my computer I can expect two, if not three or more, “Republican Party Surveys” Each comes from one congressman or another or from the party itself. Each asks the recipient to rank the importance of certain “conservative” issues or check conservative issues that they remain committed to. I get so frustrated as I realize the leadership feels that it needs to ask for direction.

Oh, don’t get me wrong I still fill in the bubbles and send in the surveys. If, for no other reason, to remind them what WE do stand for!

One cannot help but wonder if the Republican Leadership is really just interested in the overall size of the party, rather than the supporting foundational structure the party should be built upon.

The one bright spot in the New York race is that it did show that Republican voters have a set standard as to what they think a "Republican" candidate should represent and Scozzafava was not that candidate. The question remains however, does the Party know what a republican candidate looks like?

In the Movie “Field of Dreams” Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella hears a voice in his cornfield tell him, "If you build it, he will come." He interprets this message as an instruction to build a baseball field on his farm, upon which appear the ghosts of Shoeless Joe Jackson and the other seven Chicago White Sox players banned from the game for throwing the 1919 World Series. They want another chance to play!

Just like Ray Kinsella and his corn field, the Republican Party needs to be built on the basics, recreated in the image of the party of Ronald Reagan, based upon sound economics, strong national security and life affirming Christian values. So, let’s build it!

Because…. If you build it …THEY will come!

...all 1,990 pages of it!

The bill includes everything Obama and the Democrats have been pushing for... a public option that will destroy private choice; the unconstitutional individual mandate; the punitive employer mandate; draconian cuts in Medicare; and massive tax increases.

Pelosi also started the "countdown clock" to a House floor vote now slated for NEXT WEEK.

Beat the PRESS

This week the battle that the White House is waging against freedom of the press continued. Clearly the White House believes that if it can paint Fox News as an incompetent or second rate news agency, then story leads developed by Fox will not be followed by other “Obama approved” news agencies. This strategy is reminiscent of a middle school bully giving the geeky science nerd a swirly in the gym bathroom for making him look stupid in class. Is this yet another example of how Chicago politics has creeped into Washington?

Is Obamacare Running Out of Steam?

Recently on the plush lawn of the West Wing Obama held a "Doc and Pony" show with cherry picked Doctors, who are supportive of his end goal, a single payer system. Some of these hand selected and choreographed doctors did not arrive (as they had been instructed) with their white lab coats. Fear not, White House wardrobe assistants hastily handed out "spiffy" white lab coat costumes so that the TV cameras could capture the image. One hundred and fifty doctors ready resplendent in their white lab coats and willing to embrace the new healthcare "Change" made for a wonderful backdrop. But unfortunately Obama delivered the same old message. Even his weekly addresses are begining to sound the same. Does he think we cannot hear?

Are the doctors in the white coats there for us? Or could it be that the white coats were called in to carry him away?

Can You say INDOCTRINATION?

Now, we have an example of a New Jersey elementary school that is injecting politics where it has no place. Rather than studying how government works... how the president is elected... how the Congress is structured... these kids were required to sing a song praising Barack Obama. The lyrics mentioned his policies and children sang about how good those policies are. Is this what you want your children doing in school?

Bernice Young Elementary School were "being led in a song overflowing with campaign slogans and praise for 'Barack Hussein Obama,' repeatedly chanting the president's name and celebrating his accomplishments, including his 'great plans' to 'make this country's economy No. 1 again.'"

First of all, this is just plain weird. Secondly, this is a clear injection of politics and political favoritism inside a classroom. Equal work means equal pay? Come on. All are equal in his sight? That one really creeps me out. It sounds like they are talking about God.

Schools are more and more becoming the laboratory for left-wing experimentation rather than a place to teach the basics of reading, writing, and arithmetic. Just check out this story in Investor's Business Daily. Seventh grade students in California are getting a healthy dose of biased and revisionist history on Islamic studies while the study of Christianity gets pushed to the side. Is this what our public schools are all about?

The Left gleefully marches along with their plans… without consideration that those with alternative ideas have anything to offer. They also assume that whatever plan they generate will work just as planned, un-altered by the choices of the individuals they daily strip liberties from. In their euphoria, they believe that the existing medical profession will gladly embrace an increased workload and a lowered pay scale. They believe that doctors in the later years of their profession, will delay retirement when faced with such pay reductions and financial loss. They are counting on swarms of new students to enter medical schools across the country and abroad to fill this need, completely dismissing the idea that financial security is at least one incentive for becoming a doctor.

IT IS INTERESTING THAT A HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL CAN SEE THE PROBLEM, BUT OUR SOCIETY CANNOT.

This is a statement that was read over the PA system at the football game at Roane County High School, Kingston, Tennessee, by school Principal, Jody McLeod.

"It has always been the custom at Roane County High School football games to say a prayer and play the National Anthem, to honor God and Country. Due to a recent ruling by the Supreme Court, I am told that saying a prayer is a violation of Federal Case Law. As I understand the law at this time, I can use this public facility to approve of sexual perversion and call it "an alternate life style" and if someone is offended, that's OK. I can use it to condone sexual promiscuity by dispensing condoms and calling it, "safe sex." If someone is offended, that's OK. I can even use this public facility to present the merits of killing an unborn baby as a "viable means of birth control." If someone is offended, no problem.... I can designate a school day as "Earth Day" and involve students in activities to worship religiously and praise the goddess "Mother Earth" and call it "ecology." I can use literature, videos, and presentations in the classroom that depicts people with strong, traditional Christian convictions as "simple minded" and "ignorant" and call it enlightenment." However, if anyone uses this facility to honor GOD and to ask HIM to bless this event with safety and good sportsmanship, then Federal Case Law is violated. This appears to be inconsistent at best, and at worst, diabolical. Apparently, we are to be tolerant of everything and anyone, except GOD and HIS Commandments. Nevertheless, as a school principal, I frequently ask staff and students to abide by rules with which they do not necessarily agree. For me to do otherwise would be inconsistent at best, and at worst, hypocritical. I suffer from that affliction enough unintentionally. I certainly do not need to add an intentional transgression. For this reason, I shall "Render unto Caesar that which is Caesar's" and refrain from praying at this time. However, if you feel inspired to honor, praise and thank GOD and ask Him, in the name of Jesus, to bless this event, please feel free to do so. As far as I know, that's not against the law----yet."

One by one, the people in the stands bowed their heads, held hands with one another and began to pray. They prayed in the bleachers. They prayed in the team huddles. They prayed at the concession stand and in the Announcer's Box! The only place they didn't pray was in the Supreme Court of the United States of America, the Seat of "Justice" in the
"one nation, under GOD."

Somehow Kingston, Tennessee, remembered what so many have forgotten. We are given the Freedom OF Religion, not the Freedom FROM Religion. Praise GOD for this gift!

On Constitution Day

On Constitution Day, after an all-day hearing, Santa Rosa County, Florida, Principal Frank Lay and Athletic Director Robert Freeman were cleared of criminal contempt charges that arose from the simple blessing of a meal!

You might think this is peculiar...even unreal...like part of another dimension or watching an over-the-top "B" movie about hypothetical future events.The reality, however, was that the day's strange occurrences were actually happening!

First of all, the facts of the case were ludicrous from the beginning.
It is absolutely ridiculous that these distinguished public servants even had to think twice about blessing a meal. Then, how absurd it was that the ACLU was spending Constitution Day trying to deny these life-long educators the most basic tenets of our Nation's founding document!

The Liberty Counsel legal team and clients were met with swelling rounds of applause as they entered and left the courthouse at various times during the long day's proceedings. Chants of, "We came to pray for Lay! We came to pray for Lay," the Lord's Prayer and familiar hymns were at times audible inside the courtroom itself. The Pensacola News Journal noted that the chants were heard many blocks away, and also said...

The Lord was on the scene! Inside, bus loads of church members, Christian associations and everyday citizens who wanted to show their support were arriving from throughout the region and emptying into the congested parking areas. Many stayed and prayed all day long!

One can not help but wonder, how was it possible, in this Nation that was literally born in prayer, that CRIMINAL charges were being brought against two of the community's most beloved citizens for...praying? "Today it is the school employees in Santa Rosa County. Tomorrow it could be your kid's high school coach, your school's athletic sponsors, or your spouse. If we do not stand up today for our liberties and the right of all Americans to pray according to their faith, our children and grandchildren will have no foundation left on which to pray.

How will Obama remember 9/11?

When Michelle Malkin wrote yesterday of the plans by Barack Obama's White House to address school children across the nation and get them "thinking about" Obama, it really struck a nerve with our readers. He and his team have no limits on what they will do or say in order to inject socialist views into the minds of Americans.
But, it doesn't stop there. They also have absolutely no respect or appreciation for the American way and the sacrifices American's have made in order to stay free and to promote the American way of life across the globe. Just take the latest effort being pitched at BarackObama.com. Rather than remembering the Americans who lost their lives during the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001, Obama's political team wants you to make phone calls on 9-11 to fight back against "Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists."
Many thanks goes out to The Heritage Foundation for casting light on what Obama is doing at his political web site BarackObama.com (which goes by the name "Organizing for America"). After pointing out what Obama and his team were doing, the web page shown above was taken down.

On the page, the Obama political team is advertising a "Health Care Organizing Event." This is how they choose to remember those lost on 9-11???
Supporters are asked to stay home and make two phone calls to their "State Senators." They are referring to U.S. senators, of course, but their lack of knowledge is nothing compared to what they write next. The web page recalls that Friday, September 11 is Patriot Day, which the page notes is "designated in memory of the nearly three thousand who died in the 9/11 attacks."
That statement REALLY gets to me. Why? Because it would be one thing if these people were making a health care push on 9-11 and were just too stupid to realize it was on a national day of remembrance. However, they fully know what day it is, and then they write this:
All 50 States are coordinating in this -- as we fight back against our own Right-Wing Domestic Terrorists who are subverting the American Democratic Process, whipped into a frenzy by their Fox Propaganda Network ceaselessly re-seizing power for their treacherous leaders.
This is absolutely outrageous, and this is exactly what was written on BarackObama.com. Obama and his team are using all means to get out their message on health care... even resorting to spamming e-mail messages. Yet, when the opposition tries to get its message out, that is labeled as "subverting the American democratic process." This is crazy!
But of course, the major blow is the comparison of conservatives opposed to Obama's health scare plan to members of al Qaeda who flew planes into buildings and killed thousands of Americans. Do Obama and his "friends" have no shame?
Again, this message was coming from BarackObama.com, the campaign arm of the Obama White House. Can you imagine if something similar were posted on GeorgeWBush.com when Bush was president?
The complete lack of comprehension to what the events of 9-11-2001 did to this country makes me sick. Flight 77 hit the Pentagon. People died. And this is how Obama and his supporters remember them? Outrageous!
Obama truly does have a new vision for America. And it is so different from the America I grew up in. Hopefully people will "burn up the phone lines" as the web site suggests. But, instead of calling senators, people should call Obama and let him know that what we "hope" for is a "change" in leadership!

Obama says "I am in the way" of his Health-Scare Bill because I have questions and concerns. Well Mr. Obama I have read your Health-Scare Bill and want to know why you are lying and not telling me what is in the bill. Saying one thing and writing another. Why are you scared, putting my Constitutional Right to Free Speech under attack, suppressing and censoring my concerns?

I am NOT in the way!

Who am I? I am an American just like you. Americans in town hall meetings all across the country want to know what Obama the White House and Democrat Politicians in Washington are planning to do to their health.

What am I concerned about? A "government run" public insurance option that will destroy private insurance and the cost every American will pay in increased taxes. What am I doing? I am on the front line to fight back against the media onslaught that calls Obama a god. We must have free and open communication of all the Health-Scare Bill information without government or government condoned private censorship.

I do not want a White House with conflicts of interest and a senior advisor to the president David Axelrod making millions from big players in the health care debate. Axelrod's old firm AKPD owes him $2 million, which it's due to pay in installments beginning Dec. 31. It is currently receiving huge fees "from Healthy Economy Now, a coalition that includes the Washington-based Pharmaceutical Research & Manufacturers of America, known as PhRMA," as well as AARP, the SEIU and others.

Lagging in the poles and losing support Obama has called for Obamites in local communities to lobby for Socialized and Rationed Health Care. Obama believes that home is where the radically liberal administration of Barack Hussein Obama is strongest. But Americans do not agree with him or socialized healthcare and the latest Washington Post-ABC News poll shows that not only are Obama's disapproval ratings soaring but support for his health care plan is now less than 46 percent, a new low. He claims that our grass roots effort to inform all Americans of the true cost of his plan are full of those who profit from the status quo, or see this debate as a political game, and they will stop at nothing to block reform. Obama is not addressing the bold face lies of his plan documented by FactCheck.org and instead says you are filling the airwaves and the internet with outrageous falsehoods to scare people into opposing change.
Obama is very nervous that the campaign of truth about the health care is working. He claims that some people, not surprisingly, are getting pretty nervous, as well they should. So Obama says he wants his socialist movement to "get out there, fight lies with truth, and set the record straight." But he has shown to be opposed to the truth.

We CANNOT let the radical liberals in Congress -- and the White House – force his plan for socialized health care on the American people! As a nation we need to challenge members of congress to sign the Responsible Health Care Reform pledge being circulated by Let Freedom Ring. The Pledge calls on members of Congress to pledge that they will not vote to enact any health care package that they have not read and that has not been available on the internet for public viewing for 72 hours. These are minimal expectations for any legislation with such sweeping effects. Legislators should read it and should allow the public to see it.

Anybody who refuses to make such a commitment is showing contempt for the views of the American public and should be removed from office, even the highest office in the land!

This picture becomes a powerful metaphor for ObamaCare. The elderly are left in the back, with only the kindness of the Crowleys of the world, the stand up guys, to depend on. The government has other priorities. This image should have genuine resonance. It captures something that older Americans in particular can relate to. The President presses ahead with a program that will tell them to take painkillers instead of getting that artificial hip.
At every stage of the entire Gates affair, Obama has provided a revealing tell. The "acted stupidly" blunder revealed that he automatically blames the police and thinks they really are stupid to begin with. It didn't trigger a single alarm bell in his mind as he figured out what to say. Without his scripts, Obama is no longer the master performer.

An economics professor at a local college made a statement that he had never failed a single student before, but had recently failed an entire class. That class had insisted that Obama's socialism worked and that no one would be poor and no one would be rich, a great equalizer.

The professor then said, "OK, we will have an experiment in this class on Obama's plan".

All grades would be averaged and everyone would receive the same grade so no one would fail and no one would receive an A. After the first test, the grades were averaged and everyone got a B. The students who studied hard were upset and the students who studied little were happy.
As the second test rolled around, the students who studied little had studied even less and the ones who studied hard decided they wanted a free ride too so they studied little.
The second test average was a D! No one was happy.

When the 3rd test rolled around, the average was an F.

The scores never increased as bickering, blame and name-calling all resulted in hard feelings and no one would study for the benefit of anyone else. All failed, to their great surprise, and the professor told them that socialism would also ultimately fail because when the reward is great, the effort to succeed is great but when government takes all the reward away, no one will try or want to succeed.
Could not be any simpler than that.

Free Market Liar

Yesterday, in an address to the Business Roundtable, President Obama mounted a vigorous defense of the free market and private enterprise, explaining his basic approach to economics and regulation.
In his own words: [Obama has]
“always been a strong believer in the power of the free market. It has been and will remain the very engine of America’s progress - the source of a prosperity that has gone unmatched in human history. I believe that jobs are best created not by government, but by businesses and entrepreneurs like you who are willing to take risks on a good idea. And I believe that our role as lawmakers is not to disparage wealth, but to expand its reach; not to stifle the market, but to strengthen its ability to unleash the creativity and innovation that still makes this nation the envy of the world.”
In his response to the first questioner, Obama immediately and emphatically reiterated his approach:
“As I said before, I am a strong believer in the ability of the free market to generate wealth and prosperity that’s shared across the board. I think there are times where sometimes our economy gets out of balance. This is obviously one of those times. And so government has to intervene in a crisis. But the goals should always be to right the ship and let private enterprise do its magic.”
According to the President, he seeks not to undermine or destroy the free market system that has created America’s prosperity, but to establish temporary spending and regulatory programs to restore the conditions that will allow the free market to flourish. If the President is to be believed, he does not aspire to move America away from a free market economy, but back towards it, eventually.

However, if he is truly serious about letting private enterprise do its magic, at some point he’s going to have to give back the wand. That would be real change, rather than more of the same.

Niemöller's poem in 2009

History has given us a perfect example of what we are seeing happen to our country. Please, take time to read this and put some thought into what you are seeing on the news daily. Niemöller's poem tells the story of Europe's refusal to stand up to the Nazis while they still had time:

Martin Niemöller was a German pastor and theologian born in Lippstadt, Germany, in 1892. Niemöller was an anti-Communist and supported Hitler's rise to power at first. But when Hitler insisted on the supremacy of the state over religion, Niemöller became disillusioned. He became the leader of a group of German clergymen opposed to Hitler. Unlike Niemöller, they gave in to the Nazis' threats. Hitler personally detested Niemöller and had him arrested and eventually confined in the Sachsenhausen detention camp and Dachau Concentration camp. Niemöller was released in 1945 by the Allies. He continued his career in Germany as a clergyman and as a leading voice of penance and reconciliation for the German people after World War II. His poem is well-known, frequently quoted, and is a popular model for describing the dangers of political apathy, as it often begins with specific and targeted fear and hatred which soon escalates out of control.
Niemöller said he was not quite sure when he had said the famous words but, if people insist upon citing them, he preferred this version:

"In Germany, they came first for the Communists,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist;

And then they came for the trade unionists,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist;

And then they came for the Jews,
And I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew;

And then... they came for me...
And by that time there was no one left to speak up."

Now compare this to the news of the day:

In America, first Obama came for the banks,
And I did not speak up because, I was not a banker.

And then he came for the Auto Manufacturers,
And I did not speak up because, I did not manufacture automobiles.

And then he came for the wealthy business owners,
And I did not speak up because, I was not a wealthy business owner

And then he came for us, the Conservative Christians
And by that time there was no one left to speak up.

Please, wake up America, stand up and scream at the top of your lungs.

Sexual Confusion 2B taught in Alameda / Parents Ignored

When SB-777 passed they said it would not affect curriculum of our children in Schools, well it certainly has in the Alameda Unified School District…

Yesterday evening the Alameda Unified School District voted 3-2 to approve the highly controversial curriculum that promotes multisexual lifestyles. Despite several prior meetings during which hundreds of parents expressed their outrage at such an imposition of controversial sexual content in the classroom, board members decided elementary school children should learn vocabulary words such as "lesbian" and "transgender."

During the final meeting considering adoption of the curriculum, each side of the issue was given 15 minutes to outline their support or opposition. Three parents of Alameda students rose to express their opposition, articulately conveying the community-wide resistance to introducing a social agenda into their classrooms. (video of one such parent is below) Each parent detailed instances where their children were bullied or harassed for their race or religion without any help from the school board to stop the harassment.

The Alameda controversy has now become a national issue, symbolizing the fight between elitist school boards and parents asserting their rights. The media were a heavy presence at the meeting, including Fox News Channel's Griff Jenkins, who covered the story for the national network.

In response to the revelation that the "anti-bullying" curriculum never actually addresses bullying, the school board announced the curriculum had been amended to include teaching on bullying by adding the word to the vocabulary list. They promised additional changes but, no parent was allowed to see the changes prior to the board's vote that evening.

During the meeting, one school board member who voted against the curriculum inquired when the term "heterosexual" was introduced in school vocabulary and was told fifth grade, when parental notification and opt-out provision are mandatory. However, the term "homosexual" is introduced in fourth grade, and there will be no parental notification or opt-out provision. When asked about heterosexual family portrayals in school curriculum, the board was told students study the Donner Family. Those who were actually educated in their schools will remember the Donner Family is notorious for engaging in cannibalism when stranded on their pioneer journey to California in the 1800's.

While parents have been highly suspect of the curriculum's true agenda all along, it was revealed during the meeting that a lesbian teacher was pushing the curriculum because of the negative response she received from a "homophobic" parent who objected to the teacher "coming out" to her fifth grade class several years ago. She discovered that inserting the LGBT curriculum into the "Caring Schools" would be the best place for the controversial curriculum.

At one point during the meeting, the school board president admitted receiving more emails and letters in opposition of the curriculum than in support. At the numerous board meetings those in attendance regarding the curriculum were overwhelmingly in opposition. That is noteworthy considering many Alameda parents are still learning about the curriculum.

"It's impossible to understand how these three school board members can sit there and listen to this compelling testimony from concerned parents and still put their radical agenda ahead of the good of their school district," stated Karen England, who attended the meeting. "They can see first-hand this is dividing their community and yet they bow to the special interests groups who are pushing an indoctrination program at the expense of true education."

In fact, proponents of the curriculum are so dedicated to indoctrinating their young pupils that they refuse to include an opt-out provision for parents.

Disturbingly, when asked what protections would be afforded students with religious objections to the curriculum, school board member Mooney stated that they can object, but only at home. He arrogantly asserted that he "sees nothing wrong with homosexuality," thus implying that those who disagree should keep their bigotry out of his school district.

"Mr. Mooney's comment proves beyond a doubt that this is an agenda," commented England. "Parental rights aren't even a concern for these arrogant board members who act as though they are unelected, and unaccountable to Alameda residents. The message they unequivocally send to parents is that they believe parents are bigots and their bigoted children need to be reconditioned at school."

It's significant that during their testimony in support of the curriculum, some proponents of the LGBT curriculum referred to opposition as "bigoted" and "homophobic," thus engaging in the very name calling they claim to want to end in our schools. One speaker opposed a parental opt-out because "You shouldn't be allowed to opt-out because of bigotry."

"The hypocrisy is astounding," commented England. "Parents are being bullied into silence on this issue. In fact, opposition petitions delivered to the school board were asked to be returned at the end of the meeting for fear the names on the list would be published and the signers harassed. Even during the meeting, parents were made to feel that they were the outsiders, who have no say in the direction of their children's education. We are committed to assisting these parents in taking back control of their schools."

Parents are now planning to recall the board members who have chosen to side with radical social engineers over their constituents.

Joe messes with Everybody!

In President Obamas first address to a joint session of Congress, Feb 24th , 2009 he stated:

"I have asked Vice President Biden to lead a tough, unprecedented oversight effort — because nobody messes with Joe."

Well, apparently Joe likes messing with everybody....

Vice President Joe Biden last week claimed that the federal stimulus spending program has created or saved 150,000 jobs since February, when President Barack Obama signed the stimulus bill into law.

“In the first 77 days of the two-year Recovery Act program, 150,000 jobs have been created or saved,” Biden said in a press release accompanying the report.

However, the basis for his claim is elusive at best.

The progress report on the stimulus plan released last week by the vice president’s office contained no such figure, nor did it reference any other document that might corroborate Biden’s claim.

“The Quarterly Report to the President on Progress Implementing the Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009” did mention another, mandatory report that won't be released until October 2009. It adds that the vice president’s office is instituting an “unprecedented” level of transparency.

“We are starting to implement an unprecedented level of transparency. I am pleased that already--so shortly after enactment--visitors to Recovery.gov can easily access extensive information about their tax dollars at work,” the Web site quoted Biden as saying.

Recovery.org does not contain information about how many jobs those tax dollars are creating, however.
This story and stories like it (e.g Nancy Pelosi's accusation of the CIA) make me wonder how much longer the vice president and others like him think they can get away with providing inaccurate statistics and information to the America people before we stop believing anything they have to say. It may take longer than it should, but if similar stories continue to appear at such a rapid rate, a breach of confidence between Democratic politicians and the American people is inevitable.

DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano continues to stand behind her department’s outrageous “threat assessment” that labels “rightwing” conservatives as a terror threat. This unfounded report -- which offers NO evidence of terror activities connected to conservatives -- amounts to anti-conservative profiling. While the Obama administration is abandoning a war on terror against Islamic radicals, it is redefining “terrorism” to include conservatives! This unfounded “threat assessment” on “Rightwing Extremism” issued by DHS Secretary Janet Napolitano should alarm the entire nation. While admitting to having no evidence linking “rightwing” citizens to actual terror threats, the report nonetheless profiles several conservative groups, including members of the military, pro-life citizens and those who oppose illegal immigration, as terror threats. The report also lists racism and economic hardship as prime causes of “rightwing” extremism.Unfortunately, Napolitano and the Obama Administration continue to stand behind this flawed report. That is why Napolitano must go and the Obama administration must apologize to millions of patriotic Americans who have been wrongly profiled by this report. Rather than apologize for the critical and intolerant tone of this report it appears that president Obama would rather apologize for the arrogance of our nation. With the Bainbridge in range and a rescue by his country’s Navy possible, Philips threw himself off of his lifeboat prison, enabling Navy shooters onboard the destroyer a clear shot at his captors — and none was taken.The guidance from National Command Authority — the president of the United States, Barack Obama — had been clear: a peaceful solution was the only acceptable outcome to this standoff unless the hostage’s life was in clear, extreme danger.The next day, a small Navy boat approaching the floating raft was fired on by the So mali pirates — and again no fire was returned and no pirates killed. This was again due to the cautious stance assumed by Navy personnel thanks to the combination of a lack of clear guidance from Washington and a mandate from the commander in chief’s staff not to act until Obama , a man with no background of dealing with such issues and no track record of decisiveness, decided that any outcome other than a “peaceful solution” would be acceptable.After taking fire from the Somali kidnappers again Saturday night, the on- scene commander decided he’d had enough.Keeping his authority to act in the case of a clear and present danger to the hostage’s life and having heard nothing from Washington since yet another request to mount a rescue operation had been denied the day before, the Navy officer — unnamed in all media reports to date — decided the AK47 one captor had leveled at Philips’ back was a threat to the hostage’s life and ordered the NSWC team to take their shots. Three rounds downrange later, all three brigands became enemy KIA and Philips was safe.There is upside, downside, and spinside to the series of events over the last week that culminated in yesterday’s dramatic rescue of an American hostage. Almost immediately following word of the rescue, the Obama administration and its supporters claimed victory against pirates in the Indian Ocean and [1] declared that the dramatic end to the standoff put paid to questions of the inexperienced president’s toughness and decisiveness. Despite the Obama administration’s (and its sycophants’) attempt to spin the success as a result of bold, decisive leadership by the inexperienced president, the reality is nothing of the sort.

What should have been a standoff lasting only hours — as long as it took the USS Bainbridge and its team of NSWC operators to steam to the location — became an embarrassing four day and counting standoff between a ragtag handful of criminals with rifles and a U.S. Navy warship.

We are the enemy, that is what we are being told. The Department of Homeland Security thinks so and so does the Obama administration. Those of us that still have a job, who work and actually pay taxes, unlike many of Obams cabinet appointees aree having our tax dollars filtered through this administration to only a select few. To those who are deemed worthy of salvation by “The Annointed One” and his minions.

What is Cap and Trade?

In short, the “cap” is a legal limit on the quantity of greenhouse gases that a region can emit each year and “trade” means that companies may swap among themselves the permission – or permits – to emit greenhouse gases.
Cap and trade commits a region to responsible limits on so-called “global warming emissions” and gradually steps down those limits over time. Cap and trade promoters will tell you that by setting commonsense rules, cap and trade sparks the competitiveness and ingenuity of the marketplace to reduce emissions as smoothly, efficiently, and cost-effectively as possible. The intended goal, of course, is to limit the percieved influence that we have on the destruction of our planet.
What most discussions regarding Cap and trade do not address however are the falicies in the theory that greenhouse gases are causing global warming at all. There is ample evidence to suggest that the so-called threat of global warming is pure fiction. The relatively marginal temperature increases being sited by some are instead a partial data sample (only the ramping up, not the remainder of the bell curve, the balancing ramping down)of the the natural ebb and flow of earthly temperature differentials related to an increase or decrease in Sun spots, something no amount of human activity or regulation can control.

What is involved in the plans to make Cap and Trade Work?

• Comprehensive scope: All major sectors of carbon emissions -- such as Transportation, the largest emitted of greenhouse gases in the Northwest – are targeted to be included under the cap. The argument is that this makes the cap as effective as possible and ensures a fair playing field for those covered by the cap. In reality it just enables those who will benefit from the increase tax burden to reap as much as possible.
• Upstream regulation: The system operates where fossil fuels enter the economy. Upstream regulation means that fewer than one-tenth of one percent of businesses interact with the system. This makes the regulation easier to control and controling and suppressing growth while reaping huge profits for those in control is what this whole system is designed to do.
• Auctioned permits: Cap and trade promoters are planning to sell pollution permits at public auctions to supposedly prevent unfair windfall profits for big energy companies at the expense of consumers. Here is where the money comes into play. You see cap and trade system basically creates “out of thin air” a new commodity namely “the right or permit to pollute”. In a “free market” anyone would be allowed to participate in these energy permit auctions. With caps on emmisions imposed, there would be quite a variety of interest in obtaining the permits. Everyone from Exxon to Greenpeace would be interested in purchase, some for permit usage and some for permit retirement. This competetive interest is designed to drive up the value of this new commodity. Many of the worlds most successful will tell you that if you you want wealth you need to create interest or demand in a product or service and then meet that need. Welcome to the real reason for Cap and trade!
• Auction revenues protect in-state families: Supporters of Cap and trade claim that revenues from the auction of permits can be invested in community benefits like job training, energy efficiency, and renewable energy production, putting the state at a competitive advantage in a growing clean-energy economy. The real money does not come from the initial sale however, and that would be the only sale the public would benefit from. As permits are retired by environmental groups and the natural cycle of a developing nation requires more energy the remaining permit values will increase exponentially.
• Why Not Give Away Permits?
  When asked why permit would not be freely given out instead of auctioned the Cap and trade crowd asks: “Who gets the extra money that consumers are paying for energy: fossil-fuel companies or in-state families and communities?” Their argument is that giving away permits is just like handing out money, taking billions of dollars out of the pockets of energy consumers and handing them to energy companies.

Extra Money?….. Extra Money?…..Why are we, the consumers, paying extra money to begin with? These Environmental Carpetbaggers are attempting to sell us what we already own! Why should we pay for this "Pretend Commodity"? And any fool will tell you that when the energy companies see additional expenses in any form, permit fees or anything else, it is the consumers that pay the price. In the case of Cap and trade we will be paying an incredibly high price in taxes to an over regulating power for the fabricated reason of reversing global warming.

Happy Earth Day 2009

Happy Earth Day 2009! Does it seem to you as if not so many folks are celebrating Earth Day this year? I does to me. Oh sure, I was not left disappointed, I got my annual Earth Day letter from the United States Green Building Council assuring me that they are still alive and well and that our current economic crisis has not crushed the “green movement”. But I have the real sense that there are bigger issues that are demanding our attention right now and I am not alone.

The current economic crisis is keeping us occupied right now and preventing us from “pulling back the curtain to reveal the real Oz” behind this Green Ponzi Scheme, but the mask will come off, The wizard will be revealed, it is only a matter of time.

The UN’s climate panel claims there is scientific “consensus” that man-made CO2 emissions are causing “dangerous” climate change. However, its 2007 Climate Assessment is fraught with serious scientific shortcomings in its discussion of the Sun’s influence on Earth’s climate. There is no match between the steady rise in atmospheric CO2 concentration and the often dramatic ups and downs of surface temperatures in and around the Arctic.

The hallmark of good science is the testing of a plausible hypothesis that is then either supported or rejected by the evidence. The evidence is consistent with the hypothesis that the Sun causes climatic change in the Arctic. This invalidates the hypothesis that CO2 is a major cause of observed climate change – and raises serious questions about the wisdom of imposing cap-and-trade or other policies that would cripple energy production and economic activity, in the name of “preventing catastrophic climate change.”

Scientists, real scientists, have known for nearly 80 years that small changes in solar activity can cause large climatic changes. Where sunlight falls, for how long, and with what effect, determine how climate will respond. The most recent scientific evidence shows that even small changes in solar radiation have a strong effect on Earth’s temperature and climate. This truth has lead at least one scientist to claim, “Compared to the Suns power, we are a flyspeck on an elephants butt”.

Bill Clinton used to sum up politics by saying, “It’s the economy, stupid!” Now we can fairly sum up climate change by saying, “It’s the Sun Stupid!”

Day of Silence or Cheap Talk?

Day of Silence is supposed to be a campaign against name calling, bullying, and harassment. In messages from Day of Silence supporters, staff members at pro-family organizations are being called "bigots," "disgusting," "evil spawn," and much more. If this is the kind of atmosphere we get just for asking kids to stay home, in an email, can you imagine what is like for kids refusing to stay silent?"
This Day of Silence should be instead a one day walkout because students should be free to support traditional marriage and relationships, without others calling them bigots. The best course of action for schools is to ignore the movement, because teachers should focus on academic subjects, not on changing students' minds about sexual issues. If schools permit the Day of Silence in class, students are best off somewhere else. Strangely enough, the actions of Day of Silence supporters are speaking louder than the silence, rather than respectful dialogue when discussing disagreements on social issues. Those that challenge the event are not seeing respect extended to them by Day of Silence supporters. This event falsely equates being anti-harassment with in favor of social activism in the schools. Harassment in any form is wrong. Teachers and students, however, should always be able to speak at school. The classroom is not an appropriate setting for social activism and protest. It has long been apparent that this issue is quite divissive. Only through respectful dialogue and loving tone will minds be changed and hearts find peace

Here at the “The Cosmic Battle” we continue to stand for the belief that husband-wife relationships are best for society. We stand with the families who hold on to such beliefs, despite being mistreated. Many people who support traditional values are called right wing extremists, and Homeland Security says it is concerned about us. Maybe Homeland Security should more concerned about assessing the real threats to the fabric of our society.

We recognize that forces such as racism and sexism have similarly adverse impacts on communities and we support schools in seeking to redress all such inequities.

The Unfortunate truth:
Unfortunately like many groups who say they value difference and embrace diversity, the GLSEN does not practice what the preach. The abuse that their members inflict upon those who disagree with them, or take issue with their mission is quite an eye-opener. Many organizations and individuals who have displayed disagreement with the GLSEN or challenged the Day of Silence have become a victim of their wrath. See the video below:

Taxed Enough Already!

I am not sure what the media is reporting, but we had a lively TEA Party in both Chino and Chino Hills California. There was a surprising turnout of the middle of a Wednesday. No doubt the current double-digit unemployment rate helped to provide a number of folks who might have otherwise been engaged. I was joined at the event by my Eldest son Skyler (pictured here). Today’s events provided him a sampling of how the masses react when their so-called leadership goes awry. I am a big believer in "teachable moments" and he received an object lesson today regarding the limits of the endurance of the oppressed as described in the quote below.

Find out just what the people will submit to and you have found out the exact amount of injustice and wrong which will be imposed upon them; and these will continue until they are resisted with either words or blows, or with both. Proud Mayor Speaks out!

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Viragosa, speaking about the need for Universal health care in the City of Los Angeles, made the following statement on Tuesday April 7th:

“Let’s not forget that we have the highest number of impoverished of any city in the United States of America, highest number of homeless of any city in the United States of America, highest number of uninsured of any city in the United States of America”

I find it interesting that these “data points” were not discussed during the the recent City of Los Angeles Election, in which the mayor was re-elected by a slim margin, with an embarrassingly low voter turnout. I also find it interesting that the news media is not jumping all over this major gaff! Perhaps this will become a news item when the mayor pursues the governorship? We will have to wait and see.

White House Denies Obama Bowed to Saudi King!

The White House is denying that the president bowed to King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia at a G-20 meeting in London, a scene that drew criticism on the right and praise from some Arab outlets."It wasn't a bow. He grasped his hand with two hands, and he's taller than King Abdullah," said an Obama aide, who spoke on the condition of anonymity.The Washington Times called the alleged bow a "shocking display of fealty to a foreign potentate" and said it violated centuries of American tradition of not deferring to royalty. The Weekly Standard, meanwhile, noted that American protocol apparently rules out bowing, or at least it reportedly did on the occasion of a Clinton "near-bow" to the emperor of Japan.Interestingly, a columnist in the Saudi-backed Arabic paper Asharq Alawsat also took the gesture as a bow and appreciated the move.
What's next?... Will they claim it was a sneeze? That he dropped a contact? That he was looking at the King's ring?

As seen in the video linked to the post below, in Europe President Barack Obama called the United States arrogant. Barack Obama stood on French soil, a land that our troops liberated in World War II, and called the United States arrogant. In a nation still holding the remains of thousands of Americans dead from the beaches of Normandy, Obama called the United States arrogant.

What did he obtain from the Europeans with this hat-in-hands talk? He failed to gain any new significant commitments from his new European friends to help us fight and protect our nation in the war on terror. They refused to go along with his so-called plans for economic recovery. His sole accomplishment for calling the United States arrogant seems to be a French commitment to accept one - yes just one - terrorist we are currently holding.

Obama Apologizes for U.S. Arrogance

In a pitiful, weak and largely uninspiring speech, poorly disguised as grandiose world leadership, President Barack Obama apologized today for what he referred to as American arrogance. Apparently he has forgotten, if he ever bothered to learn, the personal sacrifice millions of our soldiers have made on behalf of our European allies over the decades.

His style of kissing up to his audience is misguided and dangerous and does not play well here at home when he is abroad. The backlash for this move should hurt his puffed-up approval rating quite nicely. Once again the campaigner, not the leader, this “brown nose diplomacy” reveals his personal desire for a global community and his lust to lead it.

Letter to the President

Dear President Obama,
Thank you for helping my neighbors with their mortgage payments......... you know, the folks' down the street who in the good times refinanced their house several times and bought SUV's, ATV's, RV's, a pool, a big screen, two Wave Runners and a Harley. But I was wondering, since I am paying my mortgage and theirs, could you arrange for me to borrow the Harley now and then?

Today, the House of Representatives will consider two budget plans that represent dramatically different visions for our nation's future. They will first consider President Barack Obama's plan. In a nutshell, the president and Democratic leaders in Congress are attempting to bring about the third and final great wave of progressivism, building on top of the New Deal and the Great Society. If this budget passes, it will become known as the moment America turned European.

House Republicans offer an alternative plan. As the opposition party, they believe this moment must be met by offering the American people a different way forward -- one based on the belief that America is an exceptional nation, and a desire to keep it that way.

Economic Limbo - How low can you go?

The word Limbo is being used in many conversations these days regarding the economy, both in the United States and abroad. Webster defines the 14th Century word of Middle English origin (Medieval Latin) as 1: An abode of souls that are according to Roman Catholic theology barred from heaven because of not having received Christian Baptism. 2a: a place or state of restraint or confinement b: a place or state of neglect or oblivion c: an intermediate or transitional place or state d: a state of uncertainty.

No matter which definition you chose: An abode of souls barred from heaven, restrained, confined, neglected, in transition or just in a state of uncertainty; being in limbo is not fun. Rarely if ever does someone volunteer themselves for a life of restraint or ambiguity. Most prefer to enjoy the great comfort and confidence that protection and security provide. Use of this word to describe our current economic downturn is quite correct. It accurately presents a whole slew of emotions that the vast majority of Americans are feeling. It reveals a core desire of us all, the need to feel safe and unrestrained. In this case, safely secure in our finances and unrestrained, allowed to grow and produce.

Limbo is also a dance that originated on the island of Trinidad, though Hawaii is often mistakenly associated with limbo. The limbo dancer moves to a Caribbean music beat, then leans backward and dances under a horizontal stick without touching it. Upon touching it or falling backwards, the dancer is "out". When several dancers compete, they travel in single file, and the stick is gradually lowered until only one dancer — who has not touched either the stick or the floor — remains. This variant of the word is much more fun and quite lively, yet when played out till the end, still involves the inevitable fall of the dancer.

Each of these definitions describes a time-limited process. Each will eventually lead to some end, either good or bad. As our nation and the world dance along in this fragile and weakened economy, there is a widespread concern over just how this limbo dance will end. Will we reside in a State of restraint and confinement, not allowed or motivated to grow and produce? Is this a temporary transition state that we will emerge from with new beauty and vigor as a butterfly does from its cocoon? Or are we destined for a State of sure and certain troubled souls.
